Two separate schemes, from two separate government bodies, map cleanly onto rev.B's two-stage engagement — but they're not interchangeable, and each has its own eligibility gate. Here's how they actually work, in plain terms.
The Digital Discovery Grant funds the audit stage. The Grow Digital Voucher funds the build stage. Neither covers the other.
Figures current as of the source research date — grant terms, caps and eligibility rules change without much notice. Always worth a quick confirm with Enterprise Ireland or your LEO before it's written into a quote.
Covers strategic consultancy across five areas: skills/digital-mindset assessment, operational process efficiency, new digital product/service opportunities, digital data systems for decision-making, and cyber-security review. The output is a 12–18 month digital roadmap plus a 4–6 month action plan — a close match to what an AI Audit deliverable already looks like.
Does not cover: implementation, product/website development, technology purchases, or training — this is audit-only money.
Funds the tools and setup a business has already identified it needs. A business can draw down up to two vouchers, but the combined value is still capped at €5,000 total.
Does not cover: custom or bespoke software, regulatory compliance systems, or expanding existing licences.
That's the fee before any grant is applied. For companies with 10+ full-time staff, the Digital Discovery Grant can cover 80% of a consultancy engagement (capped at a €5,000 grant), which can bring the business's own contribution down to a fraction of the full fee — the exact split depends on how the engagement is scoped and priced against the grant's €900/day cap.
HONEST CAVEATS
Sub-10-employee businesses don't qualify for the Digital Discovery Grant at all — for those, the audit isn't grant-eligible, but the Grow Digital Voucher can still offset some of the build-stage tooling cost once the free LEO consultation is done.
The Grow Digital Voucher reimburses after the business pays first — it's cash-flow help, not money upfront. And neither scheme is guaranteed; approval sits with Enterprise Ireland or your LEO, not with rev.B.
A free 30-minute call is enough to work out your headcount, where you sit against each scheme, and whether it's worth pursuing before we scope anything.
